Job Summary
The Partner is responsible for leading legal services, developing the firm’s business, and fostering strategic relationships with clients, particularly Mandarin-speaking clients. This position requires in-depth legal expertise, strong leadership, and professional communication skills in Mandarin, Indonesian, and English.
Partner Requirement
• Lead and supervise the delivery of legal services professionally in accordance with the firm’s standards.
• Lead and manage legal services for foreign corporate clients, particularly those from China.
• Develop business strategies and expand the client network, especially Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Provide strategic legal advice in corporate matters, investment, M&A, joint ventures, and cross-border trade.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and agreements in Mandarin, Indonesian, and English.
• Build and develop business networks, establish relationships with new clients, and retain existing clients.
• Supervise and mentor lawyers/associates to ensure service quality meets the firm’s standards.
• Guide and direct the legal team to achieve the firm’s performance targets.
• Ensure compliance with the advocates’ code of ethics and applicable legal regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in law (master’s in business/Corporate Law preferred).
• Licensed Attorney with at least 8–10 years of experience in a law firm, including leadership of a team or division.
• In-depth legal expertise in corporate law, business transactions, and litigation/non-litigation matters.
• Excellent professional communication skills in Mandarin, Indonesian, and English (both spoken and written).
• Proven track record in developing the firm’s business and building strategic client networks.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• High integrity, mature leadership, and solid managerial abilities.
• Willingness to represent the firm in business forums, professional associations, and regulatory bodies.
